Engineering

  • Maintenance Tech (Full Time)
    This employee will provide a variety of tasks, including but not limited to, mechanical system inspections, daily work request, project assignment, pressure washing, painting, moving of furniture and equipment, on-call requirements and other duties as assigned by his/her supervisor.

Health Information Management

  • Coding Specialist (Part Time)
    This position requires ICD-9-CM and CPT 4 coding experience. Responsibilities include coding and analyzing inpatient and outpatient medical records using the 3M Coding and Reimbursement Software and CPSI. Sits 4-5 hours per day, walks, bends, stoops, carries 10 lbs.

Materials Management

  • Distribution Clerk (Full Time)
    Performs the daily distribution function for non-chargeable and chargeable supplies and equipment utilized by hospital departments. Assist the Manager with any other duties assigned. Shifts are Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Materials Management Clerk (Temp)
    Assists with the unloading and stocking of supplies and equipment utilized by hospital departments. Assist the Manager with any other duties assigned. Shifts are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Purchasing Manager (Full Time)
    Hospital seeking Purchasing Manager, with 5 years healthcare experience and a minimum of 3 years management experience, to administer the material management requirements of the hospital and effectively manage the purchasing, receiving, warehousing and distribution of goods and services within the hospital. Also responsible capital procurement, budget and departmental financials and month end reporting. Assures the department is run in a financially efficient manner; the highest quality of employees are hired and retained; an atmosphere of teamwork and communication is established with all department personnel; understanding of the special needs involved in patient care. Person must demonstrate excellent supervisory, communication and customer service skills. Must be organized, detail oriented and have good computer skills with advanced excel. Individual must have the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment and the ability to lift/carry articles up to 40 pounds.

Nursing

  • Experienced OR RN PRN (PRN)
    The Registered Nurse will possess the ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and accurately document nursing care for the patient in surgery. The Registered Nurse will provide age-specific care for the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in surgery. Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines of the surgical team to achieve defined patient outcomes. Provides safe environment for patients in surgery. The Registered Nurse must possess the skill to provide appropriate education to the patient and family regarding the surgical procedure. Displays excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, co-workers and physicians. Practices within the guidelines of Louisiana State Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act and AORN guidelines. Complies with the policy and procedures set forth by the Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge and all applicable regulatory bodies.
  • PACU RN PRN (PRN)
    The Registered Nurse will posses the ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and accurately document nursing care for the post-operative surgery patient in the PACU. The Registered Nurse will provide age-specific care for the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in the PACU environment. Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines of the post-operative/procedural team to achieve defined patient outcomes. Provides safe environment for patients and family. The Registered Nurse must posses the skill to provide appropriate education to the patient’s family regarding their individualized plan of care. Displays excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, co-workers and physicians. Practices within the guidelines of Louisiana State Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act and ASPAN guidelines. Complies with the policy and procedures set forth by the Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge and all applicable regulatory bodies.
  • Perioperative Service Line Manager (Full Time)
    Plan, organize, staff development and direct a high-volume OR multiple service lines. Manage budget and develop OR programs and policy. Must keep current with management practices and current trends in service delivery. Design staff scheduling that meets the needs of patients as well as multiple service physician lines. Develop and implement quality assurance programs. Must be flexible with duty hours.
  • Surgical Technologist (PRN)
    The scrub technologist is responsible for a portion of the perioperative care of the surgical patient by proficiently planning, implementing and evaluating the preparation of surgical cases and preparation of the surgical suite. The surgical technologist shall assist the surgeon during surgical procedures in a manner as to make the procedure safe, effective and smooth flowing while adhering to strict aseptic techniques. The surgical technologist is responsible for the preparation of surgical instruments and equipment as appropriate to the surgical procedure.
