Environmental Services

  • Floor Tech (Part Time)
    Part Time Evening Shift Position. Hospital or surgery floor cleaning experience preferred Clean floors in patient and non-patient areas according to established techniques and procedures. Perform a variety of duties requiring special skills and physical strength, to maintain the aseptic and aesthetic condition of the hospital/clinic. Perform all other related work assignments according to developed techniques and procedures.
  • Housekeeper (Part Time)
    Clean patient and non-patient areas according to established techniques and procedures. Perform a variety of housekeeping duties requiring special skills and physical strength, to maintain the aseptic and aesthetic condition of the hospital/clinic. Perform all other related work assignments according to developed techniques and procedures.

Imaging

  • OR Radiologic Tech (PRN)
    PRN/Part Time position Monday-Friday with call rotation. Provides health care services, applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Materials Management

  • OR Materials Management Clerk (Full Time)
    This position works closely with OR Materials Manager in the OR to ensure special order surgical supplies, materials and instruments are available for surgical cases. Notifies vendors of upcoming cases to verify the correct instrumentation and implants will be available for cases. Responsible for validating patient charges with sales orders/set checks and submitting completed charges in timely manner. Reviews all OR patient charges verifying all surgery implants have been charged for and documented appropriately.
  • Supply Clerk (Full Time)
    Performs the daily distribution function for non-chargeable and chargeable supplies and equipment utilized by the hospital departments. Assist the materials management coordinator to oversee that all chargeable supplies are labeled and distributed properly.

Nursing

  • Case Tech (Full Time)
    The Case Tech will assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the surgical environment to include operating rooms, infectious waste room, scrub sinks & mats, instrumentation and patient care devices; case tech will also remove regular and infectious waste and discard in proper location prior to leaving daily at the end of each shift. The Case Tech may assist, under the direct supervision of the RN, in patient preps and positioning.
  • Inpatient Unit RN (PRN)
    Available Position: PRN 1. The Registered Nurse will possess the ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and accurately document nursing care for the medical-surgical patient including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric age groups. 2. The Registered Nurse will provide age-specific care for the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in a medical-surgical environment. 3. Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with appropriate disciplines. 4. The Registered Nurse must possess the skill to provide appropriate education to the patient/family regarding their individualized plan of care. 5. The Registered Nurse must be competent in fulfilling discharge planning and case management needs of the medical-surgical patient. 6. Provides a safe environment for patients and families. 7. The Registered Nurse participates in performance improvement activities. 8. Displays excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, co-workers and physicians.
  • OR RN (Full Time)
    Full Time - rotating 10 & 12 Hour day shifts available including early evenings PRN Weekday Position Available No Weekends/No Holidays The Registered Nurse will possess the ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and accurately document nursing care for the patient in surgery. The Registered Nurse will provide age-specific care for the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in surgery. Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines of the surgical team to achieve defined patient outcomes. Provides safe environment for patients in surgery. The Registered Nurse must possess the skill to provide appropriate education to the patient and family regarding the surgical procedure. Displays excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, co-workers and physicians. Practices within the guidelines of Louisiana State Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act and AORN guidelines. Complies with the policy and procedures set forth by the Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge and all applicable regulatory bodies.
  • Surgical Technologist (PRN)
    PRN opening available; Monday to Friday shifts. The scrub technologist is responsible for a portion of the perioperative care of the surgical patient by proficiently planning, implementing and evaluating the preparation of surgical cases and preparation of the surgical suite. The surgical technologist shall assist the surgeon during surgical procedures in a manner as to make the procedure safe, effective and smooth flowing while adhering to strict aseptic techniques. The surgical technologist is responsible for the preparation of surgical instruments and equipment as appropriate to the surgical procedure.
