  • Pharmacist (PRN)
    Receives and enters all orders into hospital software system (CPSI). Reviews all medication orders or prescriptions in accordance with law and regulation. Reviews each new medication order for appropriateness based on the patientís age, sex, current medications, diagnoses, co-morbidities and concurrently occurring conditions, current or potential impact as indicated by laboratory values, allergies or potential sensitivities, weight, height, pregnancy and lactation status, the appropriateness of the medication, dose, frequency, and route of administration, existing or potential interactions between the medication ordered and food and medications the patient is currently taking, therapeutic duplication, variation from the hospitalís indications for use and other pertinent information. Reconstitutes, compounds, mixes and fills medications and delivers medications to the unit/department. Performs annual inventory of all controlled dangerous substances that are in the Pharmacy and in each unit/department. Reports pharmacy interventions, changes to orders per physician authorization, and medication variances through SSCBR occurrence reporting process. Accurately dispenses medications based on authorized prescriber orders. Maintains all records of prescriber orders, temperature and data logs, and all other pertinent records associated with pharmacy practice as required by The Board.


  • Patient Access Representative - PRN (as needed) (PRN)
    This is a part time, as needed position. Responsible for covering the following positions as needed: PBX, Greeter, Pre-registration/Insurance Verification, Registration, Financial Counseling Responsible for the successful financial outcome of all patient services, including, but not limited to, answering phones and greeting our patients as they arrive to our facility, the pre-registration and registration of patient accounts, and collecting upfront payments prior to services being rendered. This position requires professional appearance, behavior, and good communication skills, as well as dependability, flexibility, and teamwork.

Environmental Services

  • Floor Tech (Part Time)
    Evening Shift Part Time Position. Clean floors in patient and non-patient areas according to established techniques and procedures. Perform a variety of duties requiring special skills and physical strength, to maintain the aseptic and aesthetic condition of the hospital/clinic. Perform all other related work assignments according to developed techniques and procedures.

Materials Management

  • OR Materials Management Clerk (Full Time)
    Perform the receiving function for specialty supplies and equipment utilized by the surgical departments. Label chargeable supplies. Distribute supplies and equipment utilized by hospital departments.


  • OR Director (Full Time)
    Plan, organize, staff and direct a high-volume OR with multiple service lines. Design staff scheduling that meets the needs of patients as well as multiple physician service lines. Manage budget and develop OR programs and policy as well as staff development. Must keep current with management practices and current trends in service delivery. Develop and implement quality assurance programs and evaluate the effectiveness of such plans. Must be flexible with duty hours.
  • OR RN - PRN (PRN)
    12 hour PRN shift available (6:30a-7:00p) flexible days. The Registered Nurse will possess the ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and accurately document nursing care for the patient in surgery. The Registered Nurse will provide age-specific care for the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in surgery. Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines of the surgical team to achieve defined patient outcomes. Provides safe environment for patients in surgery. The Registered Nurse must possess the skill to provide appropriate education to the patient and family regarding the surgical procedure. Displays excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, co-workers and physicians. Practices within the guidelines of Louisiana State Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act and AORN guidelines. Complies with the policy and procedures set forth by the Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge and all applicable regulatory bodies.
    This position is responsible for scheduling surgical procedures and coordinating appropriate resources to accommodate surgical cases in an efficient manner. Uses computer to coordinate OR time, equipment and personnel requisition for efficient and safe surgical care. Answer phones and communicates daily needs to the OR Manager, Charge Nurse and surgery staff.
  • Surgical Technologist - PRN (PRN)
    1 -PRN opening available. The scrub technologist is responsible for a portion of the perioperative care of the surgical patient by proficiently planning, implementing and evaluating the preparation of surgical cases and preparation of the surgical suite. The surgical technologist shall assist the surgeon during surgical procedures in a manner as to make the procedure safe, effective and smooth flowing while adhering to strict aseptic techniques. The surgical technologist is responsible for the preparation of surgical instruments and equipment as appropriate to the surgical procedure.
