  • Student Worker (Student Worker)
    Job requirements will vary depending on job assignment. Possible job assignments may be in Pre-Op & Recovery (PACU), Accounting, Business Office, Materials Management, or Medical Records (HIM).


  • Greeter (Full Time)
    Shift is Monday to Friday, 9:30a to 6:00 pm. To ensure that friendly assistance with directions, transportation, and information is offered to all of SSCBR's visitors. Assist patients in and out of wheelchairs and to/from doctor's offices in building. Ensure all mail is delivered to the correct department/individual. Operate PBX switchboard as needed.

Environmental Services

  • Floor Tech (Part Time)
    Part Time Evening Shift Position. Hospital or surgery floor cleaning experience preferred Clean floors in patient and non-patient areas according to established techniques and procedures. Perform a variety of duties requiring special skills and physical strength, to maintain the aseptic and aesthetic condition of the hospital/clinic. Perform all other related work assignments according to developed techniques and procedures.


  • OR Radiologic Tech (Full Time)
    Full Time position Monday-Friday with call rotation. Provides health care services, applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Performs radiographic procedures and related techniques, producing images for the interpretation by or at the request of licensed practitioner. Exercises professional judgment in performance of services and maintains a demeanor complementary to medical ethics. Provides appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure.

Materials Management

  • Supply Clerk (Full Time)
    Performs the daily distribution function for non-chargeable and chargeable supplies and equipment utilized by the hospital departments. Assist the materials management coordinator to oversee that all chargeable supplies are labeled and distributed properly.


  • Case Tech (Full Time)
    The Case Tech will assist in the maintenance and cleaning of the surgical environment to include operating rooms, infectious waste room, scrub sinks & mats, instrumentation and patient care devices; case tech will also remove regular and infectious waste and discard in proper location prior to leaving daily at the end of each shift. The Case Tech may assist, under the direct supervision of the RN, in patient preps and positioning.
  • OR Director (Full Time)
    Plan, organize, staff and direct a high-volume OR with multiple service lines. Design staff scheduling that meets the needs of patients as well as multiple physician service lines. Manage budget and develop OR programs and policy as well as staff development. Must keep current with management practices and current trends in service delivery. Develop and implement quality assurance programs and evaluate the effectiveness of such plans. Must be flexible with duty hours.
  • OR RN (Full Time)
    Full Time - rotating 10 & 12 Hour day shifts available including early evenings PRN Weekday Position Available No Weekends/No Holidays The Registered Nurse will possess the ability to assess, plan, implement, evaluate and accurately document nursing care for the patient in surgery. The Registered Nurse will provide age-specific care for the pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patient population in surgery. Coordinates all aspects of nursing care with all disciplines of the surgical team to achieve defined patient outcomes. Provides safe environment for patients in surgery. The Registered Nurse must possess the skill to provide appropriate education to the patient and family regarding the surgical procedure. Displays excellent customer service skills when interacting with patients, families, co-workers and physicians. Practices within the guidelines of Louisiana State Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act and AORN guidelines. Complies with the policy and procedures set forth by the Surgical Specialty Center of Baton Rouge and all applicable regulatory bodies.
  • Surgical Technologist (PRN)
    PRN opening available; Monday to Friday shifts. The scrub technologist is responsible for a portion of the perioperative care of the surgical patient by proficiently planning, implementing and evaluating the preparation of surgical cases and preparation of the surgical suite. The surgical technologist shall assist the surgeon during surgical procedures in a manner as to make the procedure safe, effective and smooth flowing while adhering to strict aseptic techniques. The surgical technologist is responsible for the preparation of surgical instruments and equipment as appropriate to the surgical procedure.
